I am local to San Diego and travel south of the border a couple times a year. My husband and I fell in love with Valle de Guadalupe, B.C. (Valle), many years ago and knew this was the place we wanted to get married at. Not having much contacts in the Tijuana/Ensenada region it was hard to book San Diego wedding photographers that would be willing/able to travel just 2 hours down south. After many searches, inquiries, and phone calls for San Diego wedding photographers, I was grateful enough to find Ceci!

A photographer that offers the best of both worlds, she is familiar with both regions and travels often to San Diego for shoots. After reviewing her work I knew right way I needed to book her! We booked Ceci for our engagement shoot, bridal shower, and religious wedding in Valle. The first time we met Ceci, she was warm, kind, and definitely had an eye on how to capture wonderful photos. Being in front of a professional photographer/camera was very new to my husband and I and Ceci made us feel very comfortable! During out first shoot we didn’t get to capture everything we wanted and she told us not to worry that she would be willing to come back to San Diego for a reshoot (free of charge!) that was when we knew we were working with not only an excellent photographer but a genuine person who cares about their craft and making sure their clients are 100% satisfied! (We did have the reshoot and we loved all the photos!)

Ceci knows how to clearly direct in any setting, outdoor or indoors; she recommends great poses, movement styles, gave us clear direction and ideas on how to interact with each other in a natural way to capture beautiful, timeless and effortless photos! My engagement and bridal shower photos were so beautiful, she captured everything from the decor, candid family/friend interactions, and portraits, I knew my wedding photos were going to be INCREDIBLE!

Fast forward to our big day, of course there are plenty of nerves to go around and after getting to know Ceci so well with our past shoots, it was nice to have her calm our nerves and definitely made me feel so special! In the middle of Summer, out of nowhere, the heavens blessed us with light romantic rain showers and bit of clouds; after looking a bit worried Ceci smiled and said to me “this weather is a photographers dream!”

I was so happy to have Ceci there to capture everything and even with the light sprinkles everything came out excellent, like a dream! Ceci made everything run so smoothly, coordinating with both my videographer and wedding planners! She captured such beautiful candid embraces between my husband and I, from our ceremony to our reception and the most lovely shots of us kissing, dancing, laughing, and hugging, the list goes on!

I was a bit nervous the rain would disrupt all the shots but after receiving all the wedding day photos, I cried so many happy tears!! Ceci was right the weather was perfect! The photos were perfect! The light rain and clouds turned the sky into a big soft light source for Ceci and the team, it made for much more even lighting that casted soft shadows (how romantic is that?!) and essentially made it much more forgiving to photograph with and was exceptionally flattering for our portraits!

I can’t wait to see what the future holds and I know I will book Ceci again to shoot big life events that should be captured and cherished forever, Thank you so much Ceci!
